MARGINALIA+LAB is a space for the collaborative experimentation with new technologies, dealing with the emerging aesthetical potentials of information and communication technologies. Aiming to stimulate and sustain collaborative experiments in this field, the project maintains in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, a laboratory open to propposals of external collaborators, trying to host experimentation proposals in art and technology.

Its activities also include meetings and workshops with artists and researchers of the fields of technology, art and networked collaboration, aiming to expand the project's reach and to enhance activities of this field in the city of Belo Horizonte.

MARGINALIA+LAB is presented by VIVO LAB cultural platform, sponsored by VIVO through the Cultural Incentive Law of the State of Minas Gerais and organized by Marginalia Project and 88 Productions.The Arte.Mov signs the co-organization of the project, that also counts with the support of Labmídia - Electronic Media Lab of the Social Communications Department of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
