Noise Pollution Detector Proponent:Vanessa Michelis Category: Research and Experimentation Areas: electronics, sound, data visualizing The project is a sonic exercise: interpretation, visualization and analysis of sonic information. The current state of the circuit is a prototype of a noise level detector. The development of the project has two main stages ahta may happen solely or combined in Marginalia+Lab's research laboratory. The first consists in rebuilding the circuit in hardware or software for a better precision of the noise level detector in terms of decibel measurement, distance and time in the relation between sound source and acoustic space analysed; the second consists in developing possibilities for visualization and analysis of the information captured so that the detector doesn't point only to noise pollution and high level of noises, but can interpret them, creating graphical, sound and mapping responses. |
