INVISIBLES: AUGMENTED REALITY FOR MOBILE DEVICES

The workshop, as well as all other activities of Marginalia+Lab, is free of charge


DESCRIPTION

The workshop has three modules divided as follows: the first approaches the history and current technologies and applications of augmented reality; the second introduces the students to the development of applications for mobile phones, particularly with the language Mobile Python, with which it is possible to program real time video manipularion for S60 cellphones (as Nokia N95 and others); finally, participants will conceive and develop a augmented reality environment to me exhibited in the end of the workshop.

COORDINATOR

Bruno Vianna studied cinema in Federal Fluminense University and holds a master degree in digital arts, given by ITP program, of NYU, working in the intersection between audiovisual and interactive technologies. Has achieved four shorts and two feature films which have been awarded in national and international festivals. Has exhibited art and technology works in Brazil and abroad, such as 'Palm Poestry', 'Invisibles', and the editing interface 'Engrenagem', developed for the feature film 'Ressaca'.


TARGET

People interested in art and technology, students, professionals of the arts, communication, design, music, architecture, computers, engineering and similar areas. People interested in narrative, screenplay, animation, photography and programming may have a more productive experience of the workshop.
